June 29
Allison Rebecca Hannah was born on June 25 at 1:14pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs, 10 oz and 19.5 inches long. Laura went for her weekly check up on Tuesday and the Doctor noticed something with the baby's heart rate, so she went to the Hospital and things went from there. We were at the hospital from Tues evening and didn't leave til Sat afternoon. Laura delivered Allison on Wed afternoon via C-section (not planned). Everything overall went pretty well and Mom and baby are doing fine.

This is our second day back home and we are adjusting to things. Lucas has done very well with the new addition to the family. He was exciting to come to the hospital and see his baby sister. The first day home was a little rough on him due to the fact that we haven't really been around him for a couple of days and that he has been spoiled by the Grandmas in our absence. But, today is going much better and he has been kissing on his sister and bringing her toys.

Laura is doing pretty well, but the surgery is making things a little rough on her. Getting in and out of bed isn't the easiest thing to do, but she is tough and she did great throughout the whole week at the hospital.

We are all very excited to have Allison here and we are still trying to catch up on some sleep. I will try and get as many pics up as I can through the coming weeks.

We are coming down the home stretch now for Baby #2. It is getting pretty exciting now that we have the room ready and most of the other stuff ready. The family has been going nuts buying girl clothes since it is a rarity in my family.

Lucas has been well this year excluding some more ear infections. He is crazy obsessed with letters and numbers right now. He knows them all by heart and cannot get enough of them. He sort of knows that he will be a big brother, but I am sure it will be a total shock to his world.

No big plans this summer besides having our child. We did get out to a Reds game and got to see Jay Bruce's first HR! We probably won't get out to see many games this year. We still have the Dave concert in August and I would like to see Indy 4 and the new Batman movies this summer.

oh yeah, the Boston Celtics are in the finals !!!

Well, the updates for the site seem to be coming less frequent now but anyways... Laura and I are expecting child #2 in mid-July. Everyone is excited and we are trying to explain to Lucas what is going to happen, but I don't think he is grasping that yet. Laura has been feeling pretty well - probably about the same as she did with Lucas. We should find out the sex in late Feb-early March.

Lucas has been doing well. He is enjoying his school (Goddard) more and more lately. He seems to be doing well there. He knows all of his colors, most of his letters, and can count to 12 but usually skips 5. He has a lot of changes coming soon though. We are going to try and move him to a big bed and start with potty training soon. Hopefully, we can knock those things out before mid-July.

We have been getting some things done around house while we still have time. We have not started on the nursery yet, but we do know which room the new baby will go. Lucas will stay in his current room, but get some new furniture probably. Also, I will probably be in the market for a new (or used) car with another child coming. I have no idea what I am going to look for yet. I don't really want to have 2 SUVs sucking up a lot of gas, but I would like a larger vehicle for hauling 2 kids around.

Other thoughts...
Bengals sorry season is over, Reds are looking decent this offseason. I am pumped for XU this season (which means they will disappoint). I hate January, can't wait for March. The eastside of I-275's traffic is brutal.

September 26
It has been a busy summer with the Hannahs. Everything is going well in the new place. We have done some painting here and there, as well as replaced the kitchen counter tops. Painting the kitchen and family room is next on the agenda.

Lucas is doing well. I think he really likes going to the Goddard school even though he still cries during drop off. The teachers there say he participates in all the activities and always seems in a good mood when we pick him up. He also seems to be learning a ton of stuff since going there. He pretty much knows all his colors and is getting the hang of counting somewhat. He turns 2 this weekend and he will be excited to get some new toys.

We really didn't do too much this summer though Laura and I went to Ashville, NC in July for a long weekend. It was nice to get a weekend to ourselves and we saw the Biltmore Estates and all that good stuff. We did go to our annual Dave Matthews Band concert which was great as usual.

Our move is complete and we are starting to get settled into the new house. Lucas and Sydney had a little tough time adjusting to the new place, but they are use to things now. The move actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It wasn't a walk in the park or anything, but I didn't think it was too bad. We just finished our first project at the new place; painting Lucas's room.

Lucas has been talking a lot more now and is loving all the room to run around in the house. He just started going to the Goddard school this past week. I think he is going to enjoy it even though it is going to be an adjustment for him.

With all the move stuff happening, we haven't had much time for anything else. I have only golfed once so far this year. We have not gone to any Red's games yet. Laura and I are debating on what to do for our big 5 year anniversary this year but haven't decided on anything yet.

I am working on getting some pictures up soon. I know it has been a while.

April 9
Things have been busy for us this first quarter of 07. Big news is that we have sold our house and are buying a new house... Not brand new, but new to us. All this stuff is happening the first week of May. We are moving out to the Eastgate/Amelia/Batavia area. It is kind of hard to actually say which area we are moving to, but it is over in the Clough/Shayler area. The house is a 2 story, 4 Bedroom place and is about 9 years old. We are exciting to be moving to a bigger place, but will be sad to leave our first home and to be leaving the Anderson area.

Lucas has been good lately. He loved when we had that week or two of warm weather. He liked getting out to the park and running around everywhere. He is starting to say more words and probably has about 10-15 words he says often. Most common ones are dog, duck, sock, and hat. He is wanting to do more grown up things like talking on the telephone, turning on and off the lights, and turning on the water faucet. With this he is starting to throw more fits when we don't allow him to do some of these things. He is also starting to want to watch more TV. He loves The Barkyardigans and will start dancing when they come on.

Other things: Excited about taking Lucas to some Reds games this year. Pumped for the last Harry Potter book out this summer. Probably going to the Dave Matthews Band concert in August. Ready for the warm weather to come and stay. Hopefully I will get out to the golf courses a little more this year.

December 29
Happy Holidays. The Hannah family had a good Christmas. It was fun to see Lucas playing with his new toys. He didn't quite get the whole unwrapping gifts, but it was still fun. He got a bunch of toys that make a lot of noise. We are still trying to figure out where to put everything in the house. Laura got me some Celtics tickets for when they play in Indianapolis, and she got a cool new Vera Bradley bag.

Lucas is now back to 100% after having an ear infection and a stomach bug back in early December. He is getting pretty quick on his feet now. He is somewhat starting to communicate with us, but it is mostly him saying 'huh' and pointing at something. We took him to the Children's Museum for the first time about a week ago. He had a good time running around in open spaces and looking at new sites.

The Bengals season is about over and it has been a disappointment (to me). Last week against the Broncos was a brutal way to lose and Xavier's season is probably going to turn the same way. And with not much going on with the Red's offseason moves, doesn't seem much to get excited about in the sports world.

More pictures coming soon...

October 31
Lucas is now a year old and he got a ton of stuff for his birthday. He is just about walking. He has taken 3-4 steps at a time before crashing on a couple of occasions. Besides Dadda and Daddy, he is now starting to say Dog probably because playing with/tormenting Sydney is his favorite thing to do. He still has a ton of energy (I am guessing that isn't going away for a while) and is getting into most of our drawers and cabinets.

Not too much going on with us. Starting to plan on putting our house on the market in the spring, so we are working on things we have put off for too long.

The Bengals seasons isn't looking as promising as I anticipated but we shall see. I do have Xavier basketball to look forward to though. They should have a good team this year and I have high expectations for them which means they will probably let me down.
