Fort Myers Beach vacation

Laura and I had a great relaxing vacation in Fort Myers Beach. We had four days of no kids, sleeping in, and relaxing by the pool/on the beach. Some thoughts and reactions from our trip.

• Laura and I felt like we were the whitest people down there. There are some dark people hanging out down there.
• Almost all the women down there wear bikinis even the ones they shouldn't be wearing them. And all the men (even older) wear some fancy board shorts. So again, Laura and felt out of place.
• It is really hot down there. We have been to Mexico twice and for some reason it seemed the sun/heat was getting to me down there. We actually tried running on the beach one morning and it was absolutely brutal.
• Fort Myers Beach has some ghetto parts to it.
• Our resort was very nice. Nice view, good service, clean place, etc.
• Almost every place we picked to eat at was very good. Fish Tacos, Italian place, and Bar/Grill place. All good.
